At The Tahi Bar + Kitchen, 1 Neville Street, Warkworth, we host birthdays, work parties, Christmas functions, anniversaries, leaving dos, reunions and all sorts of get-togethers — from a table of friends to groups of up to 50.

Have lunch. Have dinner. Take over a corner of the place. Settle in for the afternoon. Or choose one of our live-music dates and stay for the band.

We’re very happy with eight.

If you’re getting a small group together for a birthday, work do or celebration, we can simply reserve you a good spot, feed you properly and let you enjoy The Tahi.

And on a live-music day, even a small party gets to be part of a much bigger night.

Bringing a crowd?

We can accommodate groups of up to 50 at selected times.

For larger parties, lunches and afternoons can be particularly good — more room to spread out, plenty of time to eat and drink, and none of the pressure of organising a late-night event.

Add live music without hiring a band

We have bands and musicians playing at The Tahi every weekend. Book your party on one of our scheduled live-music dates and the entertainment’s already sorted.

Have your meal, get the drinks in and stay for the music.

No function-room playlist required.

Birthday parties & celebrations

Milestone birthday or just another successful trip around the sun, you can make as much or as little fuss as you like.

Book a table for a few friends, reserve one of our spaces for a larger crowd, or time your party around a band you want to see.

You’re welcome to bring a birthday or celebration cake by prior arrangement.

Work & Christmas parties

Your team doesn’t need to be big to have a proper Christmas party.

Whether there are six of you or fifty, talk to us about an end-of-year lunch, afternoon get-together, dinner or live-music night.

Smaller teams can reserve a table and order from our regular menu. For groups of 10 or more, we’re putting together simple shared Christmas food options designed for the middle of the table.

And Sunday makes a particularly good end-of-year option: Christmas lunch, a few drinks, then live music from 4–6pm.

For smaller parties, ordering from our regular menu keeps things easy.

For larger groups, talk to us about shared food options and we’ll work out what suits your occasion.

Drinks

Keep it as simple as you like.

Run a bar tab, restrict the tab to selected drinks, provide a set number of drinks per guest using Tahi drink tokens, or let everyone buy their own.

We’ll work out the details with you once we know what you’re planning.

The Dining Room

Our intimate indoor dining space, seating up to around 15. Exclusive use is available for groups of 12 or more.

The Hidden Courtyard

A relaxed covered courtyard tucked away at the back of The Tahi, suitable for groups of up to around 25. Exclusive use is available for groups of 15 or more.

The Tahi Lane

Our own gated, mostly covered outdoor space, with seating, stage and dancefloor. For larger parties and functions, we can reserve a section of The Lane for groups of up to 50.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Absolutely. Small groups are very welcome. If there are only a few of you, we can simply reserve an appropriate table and you can order from our regular menu.

    We can accommodate parties and functions of up to 50 people at selected times. Lunches and afternoon events are often particularly good for larger groups.

    The Tahi has scheduled live music every weekend. Choose one of our live-music dates and you can have your meal and stay for the band without having to organise entertainment separately.

    Yes. We host everything from small birthday dinners to larger milestone celebrations. You’re also welcome to bring a birthday or celebration cake by prior arrangement.

    We don’t charge a separate venue hire fee for our normal party and function bookings. We’ll recommend the most suitable space and time for your group.
